Dilli (Dehli) Ka Don - Naved

"Yaar, I'm bored listening to the same set of songs again & again. Turn up the radio! I’m sure most of us have done this many-a-time. That one song played on the radio has no match to those which are stored on your 16-32GB iPod/Phone. The timing of that song with your memories &, a flashback!
Radio, technically the first source of entertainment which is among us since 1927 (IBC - Aakashwani), has evolved right from “AIR FM Rainbow” to “Purani Jeans”, from simple news to naughty shows, from RJ Ameen Sayani to RJ Shekhar Basha. The evolution is not only limited to technology but also for corporate/brands to reach out the masses for marketing, promotions & awareness. The popularity of this source of entertainment has reach at such a great level that we even hear some really beautiful & interesting stories with mind blowing narration. With all these activities & shows on radio, comes another show for laughter but, with a human touch & a message.

RJ Naved, a popular voice of the nation which we hear from 5pm to 9pm on RadioMirchi, it’s hot! Now, the name itself is a brand & is one of those RJ’s who has the potential of making you wear a smile once you listen to his show – “Dilli (Delhi) ka Don”. With his extra-ordinary way of putting pranks across is vulnerable. In the year 2011, the show started with an objective to make people laugh however over a period of time, it evolved from cracking jokes/pranks on some random listeners to delivering meaning messages to the society.

Imagine the dilemma of that father who raised his son (most of us would understand what it takes in the upbringing of a child), sent him to a foreign country to make his living, a bright future for himself & now counting every single day to hear his voice! The son is now married & settled with his kid. This show calls the son & makes him realize the pain that his father must have countered every moment in the last 3 years without hearing his son’s voice! This episode actually turned the way people used to look/hear radio till now. It just doesn’t end here!

When a girl gets married, she comes with a blind faith on her husband assuming that no matter what, he will always be there for her. However, that’s not the case with Arush. A person who always asks his mother for everything (even when to pee, what to eat, what to wear, etc), will he able to take care of his wife? Imagine the situation of that girl who would become a part of this family as Arush’s wife! RJ Naved tries to educate Arush about the responsibility of a man before marriage (towards his mother) & after marriage (towards his wife & mother). The episode was not to degrade all those men who listen to their mother but to educate all those who need to understand the role of a man before & after marriage. Wanna read some more?

Not every government officer is corrupt just like not every Muslim is a terrorist! A government officer with a reputed name puts up a post on his Facebook wall, “All Muslims are terrorists” which goes viral. Later, the officer gets a call from a random person offering him bribe for some work. The officer straight away ssys that inspite of being a government employee, “I’m not corrupt”. The response that he gets, “then how come you have mentioned on social media that all Muslims are terrorists?” RJ Naved explains him the pros & cons of his post on those who have liked/shared/commented on it. The agenda was to explain the officer that the way being a government employee, you are not corrupt, similarly, being a Muslim, doesn’t mean that he/she is a terrorist. Terrorism has no religion but itself is a religion created by Satan. The officer realizes his blunder & promises to revoke it!

There are many such meaningful messages which will actually make us realize that humans are to be loved & things are to be used & not the other way around! Apart from these messages, you can always look upto this show for some LMAO, ROFL & LOL moments!

Next time, beware! You never know who’s playing a prank on you with the help of, RJ Naved!

--- THE OBSESSION --- We all dint realize when our communication went from telegraph, telephone, etc to Skype & Facebook. Now since we are talking about Facebook or Twitter i.e. Social Networking which started from fantasy & passion, slowly & steadily became more of an "OBSESSION". I guess it wont be wrong if I say that likes, followers, shares, connections, etc shows ones credibility in the virtual world. Creating your identity on the virtual world is good but at what cost? As per sources, users are just adding unknown & unwanted people to their friendlist, sharing their personal photos & posts, etc. The reason to do these kind of activities could be many but the ultimate goal is to have a huge fanbase/followers which will result in getting maximum likes/re-tweets on ones post but that's not all. Checking others friendlist or likes on their post & then comparing it with yours, isn't that's what we call obsession? Guys, social media
--- YOUR SOCIAL PRESENCE PLAYS AN IMPORTANT ROLE FOR YOUR FUTURE EMPLOYER--- Have you recently applied or been/planning for an interview? Ever noticed that the form which you are supposed to fill also asks for you social networking info? Well, that not for the employers to send you a friend request or to follow you. The best of you is already mentioned on your CV but what you actually are (in real life) is displayed in your posts on the social networking platforms. According to a survey by job site CareerBuilder India, 59% employers are currently using social media to research on job candidates, while another 33% are planning to access the platform soon.  As per CareerBuilder Human Resources Vice President - Rosemary Haefner, most of the candidates are rejected on the basis of qualification discrepancy (you might have said Grad on your CV but your social profile says UG), your communication skills (the kind of language you use, sentence formation, grammar, tenses, etc issues), inap
