Dilli (Dehli) Ka Don - Naved

"Yaar, I'm bored listening to the same set of songs again & again. Turn up the radio! I’m sure most of us have done this many-a-time. That one song played on the radio has no match to those which are stored on your 16-32GB iPod/Phone. The timing of that song with your memories &, a flashback!  Radio, technically the first source of entertainment which is among us since 1927 (IBC - Aakashwani ), has evolved right from “AIR FM Rainbow” to “Purani Jeans”, from simple news to naughty shows, from RJ Ameen Sayani to RJ Shekhar Basha . The evolution is not only limited to technology but also for corporate/brands to reach out the masses for marketing, promotions & awareness. The popularity of this source of entertainment has reach at such a great level that we even hear some really beautiful & interesting stories with mind blowing narration. With all these activities & shows on radio, comes another show for laughter but, with a human touch & a message.

Now that the law has found him guilty, DO JUSTICE TO HIM!

Law - Above above all! Equal for all? 6th May 2015: The 13 years old 2002 hit & run case on actor Salman Khan finally heard a verdict. The actor is sentenced for 5 years of imprisonment. Glad that finally our jurisdiction took a call & its better to be late than never. No matter who you are, the law is above all but is it really equal for all? Khan's case was one of 18.5 million criminal cases pending in India & the actor himself was among the 22.2 million people under trial. Most of us are happy to see that Khan is no special case in our Indian jurisdiction. Irrespective of who ever you are, if you are guilty then you'll treated the same way as others. Apart from Khan, there are few more cases in those millions where some business tycoons, politicians & celebrities are involved in such hit & run cases however our government has a different verdict for them. 10th Jan 1999: Sanjeev Nanda, A student of Wharton Business Scho

The Beeffect

The Beeffect     “I love my animals. They are my bread & butter but let’s be practical. Trading animals for slaughtering which are old & buying new ones with that money is more beneficial for our agricultural business. Keeping them with us till their death is another expense. On an average, the annual maintenance of each animal comes to Rs.5000. I’ve 7 ox & 3 cows. Out of which 3 ox are old & in year or two, I’ll have to trade them to buy new one. Now, due to this ban, how am I supposed to buy the new ones? How am I supposed to feed them? How can I see my ox dying in front of me? What will I do with their dead bodies?” - Babu, a farmer from Sillod, Maharashtra. “We are Qureshis (a caste in Muslims who are butchers). We are in this business for more than 100 years now, right from my great grandfather’s till my grandsons. This is what we do from decades. We have around 12 shops all over Mumbai serving beef meat. We stay in a joint family with more than 35 m

It’s not just a game!

“It’s not just a game”  India - a country which has 80% of the population as Hindus, 14% as Muslims & the remaining percentage as others. Hence, each religion tries to dominate the other by various means, be it colour, culture, caste or status… Even the citizens of the country are interesting! We saw some political parties asking for vote under the name of their religion, someone claiming that an incident like “Rape” is not a big deal, someone killing innocents in the name of caste & religion & many such cases. We have witnessed all these incidents in the past. However, there’s ONLY ONE TIME when all these negativity, hatred & devil thoughts are kept aside & the whole country with a population of 1.22 billion focuses on just one thing,   Cricket World Cup “IND vs PAK” match! Apart from the various religions & Gods that we Indians worship, there’s one more religion which is common for all & every Indian follows be it Hindu or a Muslim, “Cricket”

PESHAWAR - THE SCHOOL REOPENS

---  THE SC HOOL RE-OPENS  --- One of the golden phase in almost everyone’s life – School days! We all want to relive them, cherish those moments, sit on those benches & enjoy the company of our buddies once again. The time that we spent with our friends, the innocent mischief, that one excuse to move out of the class just to tease our friends & many more is still fresh in our mind!  But that won’t be the dream of every child, especially those who attended the Peshawar Military School, Pakistan.   Jan 13, 2015, THE SCHOOL RE-OPENS . “Time waits for none! The whole world moved on & so did we. It won’t be fun to go to school anymore as things are not the same. The benches that we used to share with our best friends will be shared with new friends. We might move on but won't forget what we saw on Dec 16, 2014! Unconsciously, a fear will always be there on the back of our mind, but we’ll overcome it.  Earlier, our parents used to force us to study so that

Kashmiris After Flood

Kashmiris After Flood We all mourned for the loss of thousands of Kashmiris during the flood last year. NGOs, Private Institutes &several others (including individuals like us) did whatever they could to help the needees! The thing that caught my attention was today's incident that happened right outside my house. First day of the year 2015, two Kashmiri men aged 45 & 30 (from Barahmulla - Kashmir) knocked my door & asked for some help (financially). I must admit that it was one of the most decent way of begging though. They both looked fit & fine, so just like the way most of us do; I said sorry & banged the door on their face (as I was little pissed after looking at them as they both could work & earn instead of soliciting money). Looking at my action, my mother asked me to apologise to them for my behaviour & figure out their reason bwhind their action. I had no other choice but to obey her as she’s my mother. Thus, I opened the door, went
